So I thought since we're all going to various UEE sites we should have a place to start chatting about our experiences at each one SLASH, I didn't know where it would be appropriate to gush gush gush over the NYPL show I just got back from so I decided to feel self important and start ANOTHER thread.

    Anyways...

The show was epicly awesome. I have never rocked a library so hard. The boys played their standard fare but with extra enthusiasm for being in the library. At the end of the set they had a 5 piece brassy/woodwindy type thing come up and play some mean horns for a bunch of stellar songs, especially Save Ginny from Dean Thomas and (obvi) The Weapon. Paul talked about the Ghostbusters and went on one of those amazing HatP diatribes about randomness and how the pink slime that ran under the streets of NYC in Ghostbusters 2 was initially evil but with the power of rock music it turned good and got the Statue of Liberty to start dancing and then he said "Voldemort hates it when statues come to life". And started playing Human Hosepipe. Then they sang a cover of Ghostbusters in the middle of Human Hosepipe, but they didn't change too many words just that instead of "GHOSTBUSTERS" we all yelled "HARRY POTTER". We also all sang Hagrid's Beard like 4 times.

The merch was definitely the tail end of the usual tour fare, so hopefully that means that some sweet new stuff is on its way. I got floss! My pictures came out horrible so I probably won't post them... unless anyone really wants to see them.

At least two other people I know were at that show...maybe three. Still would love to see your pictures! Man, I can't wait till I get to see them perform. Last time I took pictures from my cell phone :D And they were terrible of course, but yeah...HatP makes everything more awesome, so pictures are definitely in order.

Sweet! I can't wait to see your pictures, or to see the show myself! It's seriously what's keeping me going through dead week at school.

It's a big rock. Can't wait to tell my friends; they don't have a rock this big

Oh my god, Sarah, these are amazing. Thank your friend a million times.

I'll upload my poor pictures when I get home and have my hard drive accessible. Its back to the library for me!

Also: I really wanted them to play soul man or something with that sweet horn section.

Well, there's the myspace pages. And their official pages. And the main page of UEE (take "forum" out of address). I think those are the main ones.

Oh! And facebook! Justine sent out a message to people in the Math the Band fanclub there.

    OMGzzzzzzz

    So...
    Amazing. Just like, no words.
Last night was the Bowery Ballroom show and there was jumping and dancing and yelling all over the place. I was in charge of the photobooth that we had set up (I'll be posting the pictures over the course of the next few days and I'll put the link all up in this plizace) and most of our campers got their pictures taken. We also had face painting which was harder to do in practice than it was in theory, so be forewarned anyone planning the face paint. It stays kinda dark and takes a while to paint faces. BUT we also had some sweet cupcakes and snacks and carnival games. People loved the games and they got leis and glow bracelets if they "woke the monsterface" and won at this sweet fishing game. The Wizard Rock the Vote table was a success as well. They got 12 people to vote which was impressive! OH! And we volunteers made up a dance to the unlimited enthusiasm camp theme! And since the venue wouldn't let us pass out cupcakes after the show, we surprised the audience with cupcakes as they left.

Today was the Southpaw show and much shorter, emptier, but more awesome. The whole concert was way more intimate and the bands rocked so hard considering they had played just the previous evening (and this show started at 2pm). We had the same activities as the previous evening, but since southpaw let us give out the cupcakes, we had a cupcake decorating station and Justine made KOOL-AID!! I took MORE pictures and I'm waiting for the video of the Potters singing the Weapon to upload to YouTube, so I'll post that later too! OH! The Zambonis made a special appearance tonight and played a few songs and gave the crowd some sweet swag.

All in all, these shows were and EXPERIENCE. There were videos made by the bands shown between all of the sets and Uncle Monsterface worked the crowd once they finished playing. In the words of Math the Band/REM, it was...

    AWESOME AWESOME YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

    bowery ballroom was AMAZING!

the photobooth was fun and the cupcakes were delicious. I took plenty of pics but most of them are terrible blurry.
The unlimited enthusiasm dance was fun. It was my first time seeing all three of the bands live.
I wanted to go to the show today but I had a bbq to go to.
The videos were hilarious and it was impossible to keep a straight face!

Im SOOOO GLAD you enjoyed it!!!

Here are my FOUR picture albums guys, two from the shows and two from the photobooths:

    Bowery Ballroom
    Bowery Photobooth

    Southpaw
    Southpaw Photobooth

My show pictures are at times horrible and blurry, but there are a few gems in there - except with Math the Band they are a blur because they are "like Andrew WK on speed" and move too fast for my little camera!! (but many hearts for Justine, Kevin, and Zac(h/k))
