So I thought since we're all going to various UEE sites we should have a place to start chatting about our experiences at each one SLASH, I didn't know where it would be appropriate to gush gush gush over the NYPL show I just got back from so I decided to feel self important and start ANOTHER thread.
Anyways...
The show was epicly awesome. I have never rocked a library so hard. The boys played their standard fare but with extra enthusiasm for being in the library. At the end of the set they had a 5 piece brassy/woodwindy type thing come up and play some mean horns for a bunch of stellar songs, especially Save Ginny from Dean Thomas and (obvi) The Weapon. Paul talked about the Ghostbusters and went on one of those amazing HatP diatribes about randomness and how the pink slime that ran under the streets of NYC in Ghostbusters 2 was initially evil but with the power of rock music it turned good and got the Statue of Liberty to start dancing and then he said "Voldemort hates it when statues come to life". And started playing Human Hosepipe. Then they sang a cover of Ghostbusters in the middle of Human Hosepipe, but they didn't change too many words just that instead of "GHOSTBUSTERS" we all yelled "HARRY POTTER". We also all sang Hagrid's Beard like 4 times.
The merch was definitely the tail end of the usual tour fare, so hopefully that means that some sweet new stuff is on its way. I got floss! My pictures came out horrible so I probably won't post them... unless anyone really wants to see them.
